Angry The Invasion of fast price reducing greens.......

ok at first...greens were like woooo cool greens rock!!!! dragos flat bow 100k+ wahaay!!!! green sword kazillion plats

now... damm greens are ruining things
drago's flat bow .....too cheap
green swords nothing

face it , greens are over farmed and they have dropped too low , the new monk staff ....whatevers refugue .... was great and is a great staff but yet i've seen it going for 10k.....

now how does this effect gold monk staffs...hmmm...

the mods on the green staffs are great but yet they are so cheap
the yakslapper with its perfecting insightful staff head and staff wrapping of enchanting is .........10k some places..

face it greens are messed up now days

as soon as a new ones come out as 100k + ecto's reduced to a few plats in a matter of a few days

....if anymore come out there will be a green to cover all possible weapon builds.... what then

Then take advantage of the low price and buy the greens you want.
Then move on to something else, missions/quests/caps etc

Live with it and stop complaining.

It's supply and demand, my friend, and I personally love it.

Green items, IMO, should NEVER EVER go above 10K, unless they are extremely difficult to get. The initial price spikes you see are for novelty and those that are impatient.

They exist for a reason - to provide non-farmers access to some of the best weapons in the game for relatively cheap. There is no other purpose to them.

As long as they don't introduce green staffs with ghostly skin and swords with crystalline, etc...

Green items/weapons are like that hot item at Christmas time. Everyone wants it cause it is the latest and greatest, and are willing to pay crazy amounts for it (for example - check the Ebay boards for XBox 360 when it launched). As soon as Christmas is over, they can't give them away (not the 360, but anyway...). People are willing to fork out for the latest and greatest, farmers see this and farm excessively to make the money now. Market floods, those who wanted it already have it, and now farmers are left trying to low-ball everyone elses prices so they can get back to farming. It will happen with every new item that drops. Shadow Blades anyone?

The way I see it Greens are a great way to get a perfect weapon - if you don't want to farm the boss for it then buy it. It's gonna be this way - supply and demand, most people don't bother farming most of the Grenths Footprint bosses now, as most people who want the greens now have them.

If anything - Gold (perfect) items should rise in price, as they are a 'rarer' drop, than a Green.

Also with Factions on the Horizon the market for greens is somewhat down, I expect that they will rise again or the market will really drop.

Just in closing - I have a daily updated green SF/Tombs price list on my guild site www.dreamofeagles.com - and right now some prices are up (Bortaks and Dragos) others seem to be holding steady. Prices fluctuate considerably - as popular builds come out, and the weapon that is best suited to that build.

Eventually prices even out to what the item is 'actually' worth - EG: Icy Dragon Swords - A nice cold damage 15>50 sword which would usually sell for 10-15k, that on the first day of it dropping would sell for 100K + - it slowly dropped in price and is now months later - right where it should be in the market - the same price as any other clean/nice 15>50 sword, 10-15k

When it comes down to it an item is worth what someone will pay - if someone really wants that green and wants it bad - they will pay over the current price for it, and if the don't want it that bad - they will haggle to get it lower.

Supply and Demand. Also if your lucky, get a good pug and farm for it and never go back. Like the new tomb, my second try at finishing the level and i got both Victo Battle Axe and Blade at the same time and i never went back since.

Personally, I think buying a green item is hilarious. It is a known item that drops from a known boss. Everyone knows where and how to get it. IMO, I'd rather save my money for a rare item that drops randomly because I have no idea if or when I'll ever get it for myself.

This doesn't stop me from selling any greens I find and don't want, however. As said before; supply and demand....

Green's are meant to offer an easy access compared to hard to get expensive gold.

Aka Skill vs Grind. Anet put green in to offer cheaper alts to rare golds.

Green weapons are great. It makes it even easier to get a perfect weapon with the perfect mods you want. I was gonna get a collector's recurve 15>50, slap a vamp 5:1 and fortitude on it. Then I saw the prices of the mods and the price of elswyth's recurve, bought the green immediately and saved myself 50k+ in mods. Better skin than collector's too.

What comes to mind is Victo's Axe. It has the rare axe skin of sickle.

Why the heck??? you complaining that stuff has finally balanced out to fair market prices??? Just because you can't sell it for 100k plus 50 ecto anymore??? Whatever. nothing... NOTHING in the game is worth that. Its the idiots that buy it WAY WAY too early that do something that stupid. Just go into the new area and get one. problem solved. It may take a few days, but every green drops eventually. I still like the idea of making every green drop for each character ONCE and only once. then you don't get the people doing impulse selling at the beginning... Then complaining when they don't fetch as much the next time or the next or the next? The Price WILL come down to normal levels once people discover where to get them and how to get them.

I'm sorry if this is sounding harsh, I am really pissed about another post ATM and trying not to bring it in this post...

Basically the market will fluctuate A lot. No one can expect 100K+ prices to stay that way forever... that's a small window of opportunity period, when the public has not caught up to the newest drops price wise. Sorry that's just an element of the game market. Personally I don't use it. But the majority of the populace does, and seems ok with the way this works most of the time. I just wish the NPCs had a better listing for market price listings. Maybe with the auction house element it will be a little better... heck I might actually sell some of the stuff if I see its a fair system. currently. I would rather trash it then use the trade button... But that's JUST ME... Everyone else can do what they want.

The only people complaining are those who want to farm it, then sell it and get rich quick.

As if none of us deserve to get weapons cheap or for ourselves, and our ONLY option should be to buy them from HIM for 60k+.

I'm honestly sick of these people making these threads.

Thats nothing. On the first night of "new tombs" I sold Victos Blade for 130k. The moral of the story is , where greens are concerned it pays to be early.
